  I felt nervous when our English teacher told us to play a new project named Postcrossing. Because the interface of Postcrossing’s website looked complicated, and confusing. And thinking about how to complete all the steps and mail my postcard to another country made me so confused and worried. So I delayed some days to register my ID on the website of Postcrossing.

Finally, I decided to face this challenge that tried what the teacher and classmates suggest me to do. And I found out that it was not as difficult as I thought before. I just needed to do few steps and then I could enjoy my Postcrossing just like others.I couldn’t wait to start this project and looked forward to getting postcards.

My first pen-pal is from Russia, she is a pretty girl who looks in the same age as me. She likes all kinds of pictures no matter flowers or animals. But most of all, her favorite is the picture about scenery. This summarized account about herself makes me easier to pick which kind of postcards I can choose for her. I wish she will like it when she get the card that I mail for her.

“Postcrossing” is an online project that allows its members to send and receive postcards from all over the world. The project's tag line is "send a postcard and receive a postcard back from a random person somewhere in the world!”

When I heard “postcrossing”this project at first, I felt really excited as I thought that I will send many postcards to different countries and I'm in contact with a lot of foreign friends by this way. But if I participated in the activity about class, I would immerse it and waste much of time, it makes me feel anxious. So I received an address from the website on the second day after teacher introduced this project to us.

     Postcrossing, a activity about I can send a postcard to many country. It is very interesting that I can talk many things to people of many country, for example, culture, food or anything. That can be me to learn many things that I never know. However, I did n’t send postcards to anyone before. This is my first time. I try sending a postcard to Russia. It is exciting.

     Frist, I was nervous, because I forgot my password to Postcrossing! I cann’t enter. Fortunately, I spend one hour to enter at last. That made me so happy. I can see who I will send the postcard to at last. Than,I chose a postcard that have a picture on the postcard. It is Taipei.l think it is a representative to Taiwan. So I hope she likes. And I show her that Taipei is beautiful city and has many traditional culture. In addition to this, I also writing”Hope you can talk about country with me.”The activity has very meaning, isn’t it?

     To send the postcard is not long time. But I already cann’t wait to receive the postcard which comes from Russia. Hope it can be send quickly to me!

I think maybe I can use writing letters to overcome fear of communicate with foreigners. This project is really a great chance to let me practice about how to write a good letter and how to communicate with foreigners unhurriedly.

     I was so imbarrassed about chatting with a stranger in the past. This profect, ‘’Postcrossing’’ is an interesting activity that we have to write a postcard to an foreign address, and the postcard will be sent to he or she that we have never seen before.

     When I was writing the postcard, I was so nervous that I don’t know what to say so. However, I finally try to say hello to the stranger and ask the stranger about her country by characters. While I only know about my penpal’s name , what is her favorite hobby and where does she from, I still want to write her a postcard and make friends with her.

     When I sent it, I was not nervous anymore. Now I am so excited about it and hope I can received a postcard as soon as possible.I hope I can sent a lot of postcard, not only introduce my lovely country, Taiwan, but also make new friends and learn more about chatting with people in English. 

     And maybe I will sent a postcard to a boy, and he might be a handsome foreign boy. I really look forward to this beautiful dream come true.

This activity did attract my attention. Because I’ve never sent a postcard before. And the first one would be sent abroad. That’s pretty cool. I hope my postcard can arrive faster, and Mr. Peko, the person I have to mail my postcard to, would like it.

Actually, it had been about a week after I got the address. So I am a little sorry about Mr. Peko. Because of my idleness, he must wait for a long time. And he might think that this postcard was written so late that it might be written many words which maybe he would be interested in. However, I think that he may be disappointed about it. I only wrote something about myself like my name or where I am from. Nothing special.

Furthermore, my classmates told me that they all got the information about the person who their postcards will send to, especially in details, like what they want us to say or what they want to know about us. But I only got Mr. Peko’s job, age and he likes postcards with beautiful views. That really made me upset.

Finally I want to say that this project is very novelty for me. Receiving postcards from all over the world is very interesting. We can know many things and meet many friends through this activity. Though I just mail my first postcard, I am already looking forward to receive my own ones.

  Postcrossing is a new project that was formed by our English teacher. It is mainly about sending postcards to someone over the world. When I heard this project, my mind was filled up with lots of imagination and expectations, such as" Which country will I be able to send postcards to? " and " What kind of person will be my first pen-pal? " I haven't written postcards before, so I think it's such a cool thing to communicate with others by postcards. However, instead of being eager to follow more information, I lost track of it. I was astonished to hearsome news from my classmates about this project, and I suddenly called it to mind. So I picked a simple postcard from home as fast as I could. Then I received a address from the net. To my surprise, my pen-pal is in German! I felt a little bit excited because several of my classmates' pen-pal are from Russia. She mentioned in her profile that she likes postcards of animals without dogs and cats(because she already had enough), luckily, the picture of mine is a green butterfly! It looks graceful and peace. I think it is suitable for her and hope she will like it!

   Have you ever sent and received a post card from all over the world, but the person you have never seen them. Most of people may don’t have this experience, but in this spring, my classmates and I are doing a project and we will receive the surprise, postcard from all over the world. It’s POSTCROSSING.

     In fact, postcrossing isn’t unacquainted for me. When I was in junior high school, my geography teacher has showed us some post cards. There is some beautiful scenery which is in Europe on the postcard. We watched the postcards carefully and enjoyed the nice view on it. Our teacher told us the postcards were from her pen friends in Europe and they knew each other through the POSTCROSSING. She encouraged us to use it because it not only improve our English but also has a lot of fun. I always wanted to join in POSTCROSSING, because at that time, I was busy with my test, and I felt regret.

     And now, I’m so happy that I can let my dream com true. Few days ago, I joined in Poscrossing. And soon I got an address. It’s the person who I need to send her a post card. She’s a girl in Germany. I think she is so cool, because as she was teenager she had already had pen pals from all over the world. At the beginning, I didn’t know what I can write to her, but after I read her introduction, I came up with ideas. I decided to introduce Taiwan to her and talked about something we are both interested in. I wrote the post card very fast because I have think it over for a while. I felt so joyful after writing the postcard to her. Although we have never seen each other, with this postcard I felt that we are talking with each other face to face. There is no distance between us. The POSTCROSSING connected us from two sides of the world. Before three days ago, I don’t know who she is, but now I knew that there is a girl called Jana who has many common interests with me lives in the other side of the world.

I think the project is interesting. Let’s enjoy it and let postcard crossing.
