        Brenda was a girl who loved gardening really much; however, she never had a green thumb. One month ago, she bought three pots of flowers from the nearby flower shop. She kept them on the windowsill, and she watered them every day.

A week later, though Brenda spent a lot of time in taking care of the plants, they still became weak and were about to die. Brenda had no choice but to turn to Alice, her best friend, for help. “It is said that music works magic on plants. Maybe you can try it,” replied Alice, after hearing Brenda’s problem.

“Well, that’s easy,” cried Brenda. She took out a violin immediately. “I can play music myself! I’m good at it!” As she started, a horrible sound came out; in fact, it sounded exactly the same as a being-killed rooster and screaming ghosts. Alice couldn’t stand the shrieking sound of the violin, so she covered her ears with both her hands. However, being afraid to offend Brenda, Alice didn’t even try to stop her. Therefore, the three little flowers could not get rid of this terrible situation. After being tortured for a minute or so, the poor flowers finally breathed their last and passed away. Undoubtedly, Brenda was the “plant killer” for sure.

    Eddie is a high school student. He is such a lazy boy that he is passive about everything except sleeping. However, Eddie's mother is the only person who can turn him into active. Eddie greatly fears his mom and doesn't dare to disobey her words.

    During the summer vacation, Eddie revealed his laziness entirely. He made a terrible mess in his room, such as a turnado just whirled over. Scattering clothes all over the floor, leaving comic books everywhere but kept sleeping until afternoon. At first, his mom believed his self-control and thought that wouldn't last for a long time. Nevertheless, day passed and Eddie didn't change his meaningless lifestyle. His mom lost her temper and shouted in a loud voice"I order you get up and clean up the mess as fast as you can!" What a sharp and terrible sound! Eddie was roused by the shouts all of a sudden. Then he picked up some clothes which had stacked for two weeks. The strong stink of them reached him instantly. It made him feel sick and throw all the clothes into the washing machine. But the stinky smell still remained. Eddie had no alternative but to mop the floor until it recovered.

    After a busy clean-up, the room seemed to be neat and tidy. Eddie felt satisfied and also exhausted. As he about to lay on his bed, his mom went into the room with a bid smile"Good job! I know you always  meet my expectations. So I wonder you don't mind washing the dishes." "Come on!" Eddie sighed with tiredness in his mind. Eventually, he realized how hard a mother was and no longer idled away his time.

It was a beautiful day. Arnold was so bored that he suddenly recalled a memory that one of his friends gave him a coupon of going to a famous gym for free a few days ago. With not knowing what he could do, he decided to go to the gym for training himself. To his surprise, there were many girls working out in the gym, which against his original imagination. He thought girls always went to department stores to shop and make they look better. However, there were some cute girls in the gym as a matter of fact. There was an extremely cute girl who was running on a tread mill. Exercising made her look more energetic.

Arnold was determined to capture the girl's attention. In order to attract that girl, he wanted to show his muscle and strength by lifting weights. Nevertheless, he had never tried to lift weights, so he failed as soon as he tried to lift the barbell up. He was so embarrassed because almost all the people in the gym were staring at him. Of course, that girl was included. In addition, she was laughing at him with his stupid appearance.

He was taught a lesson by this experience. Never shows anything have not tried, especially in front of someone you are interested in!
